How Do I Find My Purpose?

Waking up and loving what you do, now that’s a blessing. Work should not be painful, stressful, or depressing. In the beginning, the man was put in the garden to work (Genesis 2-15) – it was a pleasurable experience until there was a sudden turnaround (Genesis 3).

How Do I Find My Purpose?

How does that apply to us today? A lot of us wake up and dread going to work because we are not living our purpose. The moment you discover what you are called to do (implementing your skills, gifts, and talents to serve others), you will realize that ”work” becomes a pleasure and enjoyable. It’s all about service; we are called to serve – the moment you unlock your skills and talents, real fulfillment begins.

Service is what we are called to do – your skills and talents are meant to offer support and assistance to someone else. Where ever you find yourself at the present moment, utilize the time and work as if you are doing unto God.

If you are an artist, you can offer your services and mentorship to youth and inspire them to cultivate their artistic talents.

If you are a doctor, you can make house calls during your free time and offer a helping hand or an encouraging word to your patient; they will appreciate the kindness.

If you are a chef, you can prepare meals and feed families who might go to bed hungry.

There is so much goodness to share. When we begin to serve others, it is credited to us, and the Lord will surely repay us.

I hope we can show kindness and hope to others without expecting to receive anything in return, this is when you are truly living your purpose. That is real love.
