How To Receive Salvation Through Jesus Christ

How Is Salvation Achieved

Receiving Salvation is to receive Eternal Life. Eternal Life is the newness of Life that a believer derives from Christ. Jesus says that Eternal Life is when we know the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom God has sent (John 17:3).

Salvation

Jesus died in our place. The death that we were supposed to die, Jesus died that death so we can live forever. We must believe that Jesus died for us and was resurrected by Faith for us to become born again. Also, we must repent of our sins and ask for forgiveness

Acts 16:30-31 NIV – He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”

Acts 2:38 NIV – Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 10:9-10 NIV – If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV – God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Here is a short prayer you can say

Father, please forgive me of my sins; I turn back to you and desire to have a relationship with you. I believe that you sent your only begotten son Jesus Christ to save me from my sins. I believe in Jesus Christ, the work He did, His death, His resurrection, His ascension, and I believe He will return. Father, I pray your perfect Will over my Life; in Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

If you do these, then you are saved, and immediately, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you and begins to work in you, and you become a new creation, you become born again.
