How Do You Get Wisdom?
Prayer For Wisdom – Here is a powerful prayer prayed by Paul the apostle.
I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation so that I may know Him better. I pray that the eyes of my heart may be enlightened in order that I may know the hope to which He has called me, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength.
Paul prayed for the people in Ephesus when he heard about the people’s faith in the Lord Jesus and their love for God’s people. His prayer here included asking God for the spirit of wisdom and revelation. He also prayed that the eyes of his heart might be enlightened to continue walking in the purpose God has called him.
If we are looking to walk in our purpose and live according to God’s will for our lives, this is a powerful prayer to pray daily. Paul did not have an easy ministry in this world; he went through trials and hardship, but he drew his hope and strength from God. Paul knew he couldn’t live his purpose without the wisdom and revelation that God gave him.
What Is Wisdom?
According to Webster’s 1828 Dictionary, Wisdom is the right to use or exercise of knowledge, the choice of laudable ends (doing the morally right thing), and the best means to accomplish them.
In essence, when you ask Godly wisdom you have the confidence that you will get the knowledge needed to perform your tasks and accomplish them to laudable ends.
What Is Revelation?
An uncovering, a bringing to light of that which had been previously wholly hidden or only obscurely seen. Easton’s Bible Dictionary
