Depression starts with experiencing unhealthy fear, which develops into anxiety and then depression. If depression is not treated, it may develop into hopelessness. Hopelessness is when a person feels empty of all emotions or they don’t have a reason to live, and progression from hopelessness can be fatal.

2 Timothy 1:7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
