11 Powerful Bible Verses About Worry To Pray Over Yourself Daily

Are you worried, tired, and overwhelmed? To tell you the truth, the Christian life is not smooth sailing, it comes with its ups and downs, But God has promised us that when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, He will always be with us.

The Lord knows that we live in a fallen world, and with spiritual battles waging around us, we will feel down and have to worry from time to time.

We are children of God, and we can not allow worry, stress, and anxiety to win over us; God has given us the tactics to overcome worry, it is why God has given us words to say to battle this spiritual warfare when they arise.

As children of God, we have powerful words in the Bible that we can speak to battle the enemy with the power of God. For instance, when the enemy tempted Jesus in the wilderness, Jesus did not remain silent. Instead, He took up the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word Of God (Ephesians 6:17) and began wielding it against the enemies lies, and after the third temptation, when Jesus answered the devil with the Word Of God, the devil left Him (Matthew 4:11).

So with us also, when the enemy comes to tempt us or cause us to worry – we have the Power of the Word Of God to combat the lies of the enemy; all the enemy knows how to do, is to lie because he is the father of lies (John 8:44).

Sis, when you are overwhelmed or worried, the first thing you have to do is go to the word of God and search for scriptures that speak to your situation, and start wielding that sword (the scripture) in the face of the enemy.

In most cases, the very thing you are worried about, God already plans to solve that situation – so it is best to approach God in prayer and talk to Him.

I will share a couple of Bible Scriptures that you can pray to help you overcome worry in your life. Also, the enemy has no power over a child of God.

Prayers To Overcome Worry In Your Life

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:34 NIV)

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? (Matthew 6:25-27 NIV)

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30 NIV)

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27 NIV)

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. (2 Thessalonians 3:16 NIV)

Even though I walk

    through the darkest valley,

I will fear no evil,

    for you are with me;

your rod and your staff,

    they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4 NIV)

Cast your cares on the Lord

    and he will sustain you;

he will never let

    the righteous be shaken. (Psalms 55:22)

Anxiety weighs down the heart,

    but a kind word cheers it up. (Proverbs 12:25 NIV)

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 NIV)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 NIV)

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33 NIV)

You can choose two or three Bible verse and pray it over yourself every day; also, you can set times during the day where you can pause from whatever you are doing and spend some time talking to God.
